About Mililani Volleyball Club

Mililani Volleyball Club (MVC) is a non-profit organization located in Central Oahu. MVC is passionate about volleyball and excited to teach the next generation. Volleyball is a sport that brings people together and gives us the opportunity to grow. We create a positive environment that allows our players to develop skills on and off the court.

Foundation of a Great Volleyball Player

character-2

Character

Building good character is important to us. Through volleyball, we guide our players to be mentally tough, coachable, and have good sportsmanship. These characteristics carry off the court as we help to develop hardworking, confident, dedicated young women.

athleticability-2

Athletic Ability

Volleyball players need to be agile and explosive. Agility, core, and cardio training shape our players to be conditioned for a long tournament. We also incorporate plyometrics, or jump training, to strengthen muscles used to jump higher, run faster, and move dynamically.

technique-2

Technique

Developing good techniques creates a solid foundation of skills for players to build upon. We believe our players should have an understanding of the basics before they work to perfect these skills and perform them consistently. Good technique will limit injury and increase power.

volleyballIQ-2

Volleyball IQ

A high volleyball IQ means to have the abililty to think quickly and make good decisions in the moment. We emphasize playing with a purpose and intent to increase our volleyball IQ. This decision-making proccess and intention will allows our players to compete at a higher level.

We Celebrate Every Win

We love seeing our players succeed on the volleyball court, in the classroom, and in life. Throughout season, we recognize our teams for their involvement in the community, tournament outcomes, and more.

Our Featured Athletes is an award for coaches to select players who they believe are working hard to become a great volleyball player. During our End of Season Banquet, each team is also recognized for their academics, personal growth, and team accomplishments.  An alumni of MVC can be awarded at our banquet to hold a place in our Hall of Fame.

Mentors

Our club has a dedicated coaching staff who have over 100 years of combined experience. All coaches are volunteers who love volleyball and enjoy sharing their knowledge. During mainland travel, our older teams schedule a college tour. Coaches are also willing to guide players though the college recruitng process.

Community Involvement

Our club enjoys participating in community service projects. Some of our past service projects include the Matson Beach Clean Up, Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringing, and Helping Hands Hawaii donations. We value giving back to our community and love to reach out each season.

Memories

Season is always full of memories. Every team has the opportunity to make new ones from weekly practice to mainland tournaments. As a club we also hold events to come together and celebrate. We love when our alumni come back from college and play in open gyms with us.
